Happy September 1st! I’m sure you didn’t know that today was going to be such an exciting day when you woke up (unless you’re a Sharp Scheduler junkie of course). Sharp Scheduler version 2.0, was dropped today!
It’s been 10 months since the last major Sharp Scheduler release which seems like a long time, right?
We’re not just being lazy, promise!
The good news is that this time meant we could add more supercharged features to this release, including my favorite…
POP Mail Triggers
You’re probably going to think this is lame but it really is my favorite feature. This new type of trigger allows the user to fire the cron trigger each time an email is received. Cool isn’t it? You can read more about this type of triggers here.
Sharp Scheduler 2.0 Embraces Google’s New Material Design Principles
Sharp Scheduler 2.0 users will benefit from a revamped user interface, offering a new visual style alongside improvements to user interaction, making it more efficient and intuitive. So if you’re a big fan of the Material Design visual principles, you’ll appreciate the overall cleaner look that they bring to the Sharp Scheduler dashboard.
More New Stuff To Love

- Implemented the ability to schedule tasks for database tables in all 3 schemas (cv, dbo, ptl)
- Evoq compatibility

Ready To Try 2.0?
So we’re happy with the stability of 2.0 and don’t anticipate any drama. As always however, we do recommend testing sites on a staging environment prior to upgrade.
Always Here For You…
A huge round of applause for those involved! Big thanks to our friends and community members, especially to Richard Sletcher who made a generous contribution towards funding for making Sharp Scheduler better.
Your feedback and suggestions always help us make our products better. We appreciate receiving it. With your love and support, Sharp Scheduler is now among one of the widely used/preferred module when it comes to task automation on DNN.
