Dear DNNiezers,
In the last couple of months, we joined forces with DNN Platform team to make sure our products are compatible with the latest DNN 9.5 version.
For a better understanding of the issue, DNN 9.4 came with the first implementation of dependency injection. It had severe issues and vendors that already had dependency injection in their modules (such as DNN Sharp) were not taken into account.
For everyone interested in making the upgrade these are the essential steps to keep in mind:
1. Upgrade to DNN 9.3.2 and make sure you have the latest product versions for all of our extensions (latest 5.0.x builds)
2. Install the DNN 9.5.x compatibility product versions (latest 5.1.x builds)
* if you're using URL Adapter or Sharp CDN it is recommended that you disable them before DNN 9.5.x upgrade (re-enable URL Adapter or Sharp CDN after DNN 9.5.x upgrade)
3. Upgrade to DNN 9.5.x
Two important notes:
Our products are not compatible with DNN 9.4.x and never will (that’s why you need to upgrade directly to DNN 9.5.x)
Since it’s the first release of the DNN 9.5 compatibility products we suggest installing them on a development environment first.
We understand this has been a major issue for many of you. We sincerely appreciate all your support and patience while addressing the situation!
7/22/2020 Update: Our modules are now compatible with DNN 9.6.1
If you are at DNN 9.3.2 or above you are ready to upgrade to our DNN 9.6.1 compatible modules.
In case you are having issues with the new products you can always contact us!
Thank you,
DNN Sharp Team
